Just finished watching a doco on ABC about the possibility of life on mars following the discovery of methane and most importantly, Formaldahide (spelling?) Formaldahide is the oxidised version of methane, methane is created by volcanic action and by bacteria, but the formaldahide only last for approx 7 hrs in the martian atmosphere before breaking down, and with no recent volcanic activity, is the presence of bacteria continuously releasing methan the culprit?

what is your take on this?
