Cowra RSL sub-branch in association with Cowra Aero Club and the 1st/19th Battalion RNSWR; are holding a commemorative event at the Cowra Airport, NSW on Saturday August 19th
* Flight in an Iroquois helicopter [ not Army or RAAF colours ]
* Flight's in an Aero Club plane [ Trial Introductory Flight's ]
* Displays of historic aircraft
* Static display by 1/19 Battalion of Army Ordinance & material
* Army Reserve recruiting stand
* Cowra Antique Vehicle Club display of vintage cars
* BBQ's by Rotary Cowra and Cowra Aero Club
Cost of the flight in the Iroquois is $100 per person. This $100 entitles the bearer to -
1. 15 minute flight
2. Free entry to the Aerodrome family of 4, up to the age of 15, larger families please contact the organizing committee
3. BBQ lunch for one
4. Commemorative lapel badge
It is envisaged that the Antique Car Club provide a courtesy service to transport those interested into town to various places of interest. One place of interest is Cowra Fun Museum's where there is a war, rail and rural display of vintage machinery, tanks, tractors etc...
Also some aircraft from the Temora Aviation Museum will be in attendance on the day.
