I thought I would test out my brand new 450D and went to get photos of the transport in the Woden Valley region. Whilst photographing around the Hospital I heard the familiar sound of South Care in the distance and eventually saw it descending into the hospital grounds. I waited around, and even went to visit it on its Helipad. It left soon after so I grabbed a few pics of it taking off. Woden Valley Hospital or 'The Canberra Hospital' as it is now called was where I was born, back way when in 1988.
The Helicopter is registered VH-NSC, and is a Bell 412. About a year ago it was repainted into the scheme we see it now, a blue, green and white scheme which looks stupendous. South Care also hold Open days atleast once a year, at their base on the Monaro Highway in Hume (Next to the Alexander Maconochie Correctional Centre).
